Living In The Moment

Just about 1 month into 2017, and I can say that quite a lot of things has already happened.

There was this guy I met in uni, just 2 years older than me. I can honestly say he was a great guy. We barely kept in touch after I left to complete my studies in 2013. When I came back to KL, I only met up with him twice, though he lived nearby. On 26th January, I received a whatsapp message from a friend that he has passed away peacefully at his house.

I believe he is in a better place and from what I can see, he left a huge positive impact to those who have had the opportunity to have known him.

The biggest thing that I can take out of it is to cherish those people who are still around. Putting in the effort and making time for them and not to take them for granted as we never know what will happen the following day.

Even if no one I know reads this, I just want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all my friends for bearing with me up till now and sorry if I have offended you in any way before. I hope that we will remain as friends wherever our lives will take us.

Live to fight another day

Sept - Oct - Nov & a Little of Dec

Few things happen since then.

Birthdays come and gone,


In Sept and Oct mainly work, ping-pong, watching series, a little basket ball and a little walk in the park. Just wanting to go home late so that I do not have to think of things. Then I think the last week of October I decided I wanted a break from things. So yea, I told myself "Lets go to Miri and visit Wei Mae. Don't care if I go alone. This time for sure."


Then November came. Only Jian-Yong joined for the trip. I really enjoy myself. Had an awesome tour guide who planned the whole 2 days itinerary for the both of us. Much appreciated for taking time out of your busy schedule to bring us around. Even to places you have been to before.

Night 1 / Day 1 - Mac D for supper. Check in... sleep, Maggie for breakfast, Beach, Iban food for lunch?, Grand Old Lady, Imperial shopping mall, outside the house,


Night 2 / Day 2 rumah asap for some pork and ikan bakar, tuak, card games... sleep... beach run, Sarawak laksa, Gua Niah, check out.


Night 3/ Day 3 Dai Chow dinner, air port, flight delayed, Marybrown, Home,



... Played a lot today. Like the good old days. Just lacking some things XD
I want to do this more often... Now back to reality.

#Nth Randomness.

First off, I could not believe the last time I updated my blog was in November.

Short summary of what happened since then:

December - March
Rotated into my second rotation Master Data Management (MDM) team. Great team. Enjoyed myself there.
Few emotional moments at that point of time as well.

March - May
Rotated into my 3rd and final rotation. Compliance and Due Diligence (CDD) team. Worked UK shift (3pm-12am). Great team as well. Enjoyed the ride and allowance.

June - August
3rd rotation was cut short and I moved to HR Admin. Lots of papers... and quite a lot of work.
Very emotional moment during this time.

August - Now
So yea, I am in HR... great team xD
Looking back I would say I was lucky to be in good teams. Learning quite a few things. Still plan to take CFA level 1.
Life has been going downhill since then.
What is life without its ups and downs.

Quick Update

Its been awhile since I last update my blog. Let me see, what is new since that day...

1) Started working. So far so good, making some mistakes but my seniors are nice and patient with me =)
2) Meeting quite a lot of new faces from work.
3) House got broken into XD
4) Attended my first company's Annual Dinner =)
5) Car got hijacked by sis again, so carpooling with a friend now. Such a nice person =)
6) CFA Level 1 exam is coming up... have not finish studying, 1/3 of the way there... still need to do practice questions.
7) Going to rotate to my next department soon.

What else...

Been trying desserts and some food around, has its ups and downs.

All in all, life has been pretty well the past 3 months or so.

"Treasure Hunt"

Came back from uni after 1)"studying". Bought mille crepe from Nedeje on the way back. Not bad. Received a text asking me to participate in this 2)"treasure hunt" in and around Sunway Giza. Seeing that the weather was 3)"good", I 4)"decide to sign up".  All in all it took me about 30 minutes before I found the 5)"treasure".

Finally watched Amazing Grace last week after a friend of mind recommended it to me 3 years ago XD. Not bad.
Also watched Django Unchained, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, and quite a number of other movies.

Read and finished the Divergent Trilogy. In my opinion, first book is not bad, second not that nice and the third is quite nice. Thanks to Wei Mae for her generosity in lending me the books, saving me $$$.

On another note, I felt a smile came across my face as I saw the nasi lemak stall in SS15 open. Just a bubble of joy spreading through me XD

So many series seems to be popping out now / coming to my attention.
